Sports and High Performance Physiotherapy
This is a work methodology focused on the prevention and treatment of injuries related to sports practice.Physiotherapy treatments for high-performance athletes
We have been working with professional athletes and elite sports for years.
Daily demands in terms of training/competition volume and rest times are variables that we take into account when choosing an optimal and personalized treatment, focused on reducing symptoms and ensuring the athlete's complete recovery.
- We analyze the subject in a comprehensive manner.
- We evaluate and optimize movement patterns in search of improving sports performance.
- We plan the sessions based on the current moment of the season.
- We accompany manual therapy with specific strength and mobility exercises as well as high technology.
Who can benefit from sports physiotherapy?
Sports and high-performance physiotherapy benefits professional athletes, amateurs, and active people by improving their performance, preventing injuries, and facilitating a quick and safe recovery after injuries.
Specifically we work with the following profiles:
- Professional athletes (football, karate, padel, rugby…).
- Opponents (firefighter, police officer…).
- Trained amateur athletes (ironman, runners, triathletes, crossfit).
- Others (dance).
What are the most common pathologies and injuries in athletes?
Sports physiotherapy treats various pathologies such as sprains, tendonitis, muscle tears, ligament injuries, fractures, and overuse injuries.
It also addresses chronic problems such as plantar fasciitis, chondromalacia patella, and iliotibial band syndrome. Additionally, it helps in post-surgical rehabilitation of injuries such as meniscus and anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears.
It includes techniques such as massages, stretching, therapeutic exercises, and the use of equipment such as ultrasound and electrotherapy, contributing to a comprehensive recovery and the prevention of future injuries.
